My Dreams Are Either Telling Me Amazing Things Are Coming or I’m Just Crazy.
Submitted by theunconvention... on Wed, 08/11/2010 - 7:08pmSo, I’m not much of one to check my daily horoscope or look up what my dreams mean, but recently, I’ve had a handful of dreams that have been pretty freakin’ vivid and have stuck with me. So, I took the really important “things” from each dream and looked them up. It’s pretty interesting.

Do You Ever...?
Submitted by theunconvention... on Wed, 07/28/2010 - 8:04pmDo you ever wonder how you can have so many amazing friends and family, be intelligent, blessed, and still be unhappy?
Do you ever feel like you simply just can't have what you want no matter what you do?
Do you ever just get sad for no apparent reason?
Do you ever feel like you just want to leave and start over fresh, somewhere new?
Do you ever wonder if things will be different?
Do you ever think you just can't do this anymore? This day to day bullshit that just repeats itself?
Be remarkable
Submitted by theunconvention... on Tue, 03/02/2010 - 10:35pmDo you ever just feel like something is "off"? I hate that feeling. Hate, hate, hate it. Lately that "off" feeling has been lingering and quite frankly I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because there is a LOT going on, or maybe I'm just having some weird paranoia lately, or maybe I just need some more PMA...I really don't know.
You had me at hello, Dove
Submitted by theunconvention... on Thu, 02/25/2010 - 7:05pmLast week, I told you guys about my Dove tragedy and as I do every time I post a new blog entry, I posted it on Facebook and Twitter. But this time, Dove replied to my Tweet and asked if I would follow them so they could send me a direct message..I was a tiny bit skeptical but did it anyway. They have a right to be heard just like I do.
Fear of sneezing? Yep. That's me.
Submitted by theunconvention... on Wed, 02/24/2010 - 7:01pmI used to not be able to sneeze in front of people. I know. It’s weird and quite possibly concerning but the only time I could sneeze in front of someone was if I felt “comfortable” around them. (Hey, I never said I was normal – but I am unique. :) ) Everyone knows that feeling you get when you have to sneeze or you’re justtttt about to sneeze, then all of a sudden you can’t. I literally used to have that all the time. I would get this anxiety about sneezing in front of others and then I just couldn’t do it.
Finally, I will tell you my Dove story.
Submitted by theunconvention... on Wed, 02/17/2010 - 6:38pmSome of you may or may not remember me complaining (and FREAKING OUT) about Dove. Well, I'm here to finally tell my story.
(dramatic pause)
Imagine this: You find this magnificent product that does wonders for your life. You walk taller, you are happier, and you just feel amazing. You use this product day in and day out...year after year. Then one day, you go to the store to replenish your dwindling quantity and the shelves are empty. No big deal, just check at another place - I mean stores are known to run out of things, right? But after going to 3, 4, 5, even 6 stores (some not even in the same state!) and seeing empty shelf after empty shelf, you realize quickly that something is terribly wrong.
Take time to explore...
Submitted by theunconvention... on Sun, 01/31/2010 - 9:19pmFor those of you who don't know, I work primarily with educators. Yay! I interact, share, and learn so much from them everyday. One of the *coolest* parts of my job is that I get to play. Yep! I get to play with tons of cutting edge and really awesome resources that teachers use in the classroom.
My new favorite one is Prezi. It's a modern spin on PowerPoint. And quite frankly, in my opinion, it's pretty freakin' cool. So, today, I'm giving you my blog post through Prezi! :)

I think we’re all pretty aware of how much technology has impacted our lives over the years. I know that I live, breathe, eat, and sleep technology. I can find nearly ANYTHING I want on the web, I can post a tweet for help with Drupal to get help from my amazing developer friends, I can upload and tag photos from my phone…the possibilities are seriously endless. But, at the same time that thought makes me so excited, it kind of makes me cringe. Let me explain.
Ice cream in the mail
Submitted by theunconvention... on Sun, 11/08/2009 - 9:37pmI was searching through my car trunk the other day (who knows what I was looking for) and I found my old CD case. With much enthusiasm I ripped it open, eager to go back in time and get caught up in music memories of the past. Of course when I first opened it I saw N’Sync’s “No Strings Attached” in the first CD holder.
Ahhh yes…the craze of N’Sync.
Why “It’s not you, it’s me” applies to friendships
Submitted by theunconvention... on Thu, 10/22/2009 - 6:40pmSometimes I feel like there are certain people who keep moving, who keep doing what it takes to rise to the top – to be better, to grow, to learn, to network, to experience life. And then there are people who are stuck in their time warp.
I’m not talking about those people or “friends” you need to take to the trash. I’m talking about the friends that haven’t really done a single thing wrong to you.
